This is from my series of portraits of the Master. Missy is simply amazing. While I don't generally chose favorites when it comes to the Doctor, I'm not afraid to admit that Michelle Gomez is my favorite version of the Master.

Peter Capaldi’s first episode as the Doctor was funny, tense, and very different from previous Doctors. This scene stuck out to me, so I painted it immediately afterwards. The texture of the scene. The gravity of two men unsure of their identity...unsure of who was the monster.
