Flourish and Blotts Bookseller is a bookshop in North Side, Diagon Alley. Established in 1454, it is where most Hogwarts students purchase their schoolbooks. The shop has had a few problems with certain books, such as The Invisible Book of Invisibility which cost them a great deal of money though they never found them, and The Monster Book of Monsters which tore each other up as well as biting the manager when he tried to get one out. Flourish and Blotts also runs a service, which enables purchasers to buy books via owl delivery. They also take advance orders for books that are in high demand, such as The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore.

The Leaky Cauldron is a popular wizarding pub and inn in London. It is the entrance to Diagon Alley, and, indirectly Knockturn Alley and serves as a gateway to the non-wizarding world. It was built by Daisy Dodderidge, the first landlady, in 1500.
Honeydukes is a marvellous wizarding sweet shop located on High Street in the all-wizarding village of Hogsmeade. It was first established in 1641 and is owned by Ambrosius Flume and his wife, and is filled with “shelves upon shelves of the most succulent-looking sweets imaginable”.[2] In addition to the standard wizarding candy that is sold there, the owners also make their own fudge and chocolate. For obvious reasons, the shop is quite a popular destination for Hogwarts students when visiting Hogsmeade on the weekends and during the Christmas season one can barely move due to the crowd of visitors .
The Leaky Cauldron was a popular wizarding pub and inn located in London. It was the entrance to Diagon Alley and indirectly Knockturn Alley. The rear of the pub opened up onto a chilly courtyard that contains the entrance to both alley ways.

Butter Beer is a favourite drink served at pubs frequented by Witches and Wizards. For example the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade and the Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley both serve Butter Beer. It can be served hot and foamy or chilled. Madam Rosmerta, the proprietor of The Three Broomsticks Inn is known to serve up excellent Butter Beer.
