The Grade 1 listed Lady St. Mary Church (in the town of Wareham, Dorset, England) is built in the Norman Gothic style, but its origins go back a few centuries earlier to Saxon times. The church is the burial place of Beorhtric, the Saxon King of Wessex from AD 786 to 802. The town of Wareham is much older still, with evidence of human settlement dating back 11,000 years or more. St Mary's Church, Almer Number of views as of 4th April 2017 = 230. The 12th century church of St Mary's, Almer lies just off the busy A31 between Wimborne and Bere Regis (Dorset, England). Perhaps more familiar landmarks in the vicinity are the thatched Worlds End pub, and the Charborough Estate, surrounded by one of the longest brick walls in England, over 2 million bricks were used in its construction.
