Founded in 1968, Wichita Southeast Kansas Transit (WSKT) was a privately held trucking company that started as a certificated Kansas Intrastate Carrier, serving Wichita and Southeast Kansas with overnight freight service. WSKT grew their network to 46 terminals in a closed loop line haul configuration across fifteen states. WSKT offered LTL Interstate and Intrastate, Pool Distribution, and Time Definite Delivery services and continued their reputation of guaranteed overnight service up until the end when they were sold in 2005.

I took this photograph near the Siam Paragon mall at the BTS Siam stop in January 2019. The Skytrain runs in the background transporting Thai people and visitors along the BTS Siam route through Bangkok. I've always found neon lights and the hustle and bustle of the city at night to be something electric, something that engages me in a way that it just doesn't during the day. The day is for work and the night is for play. Some of these people are headed home after a long day of work and others are headed out with friends and fun. During a day the electricity exists but is hidden by the sunlight. The darkness makes this metaphorical / sometimes literal electricity pop into view. The hidden becomes visible. It is not usually seen this way....

A fantasy journey, without loud children or irritable stewards.

Hall's Motor Transit was founded in 1922 by John H. Hall as a one-truck carrier that plied a 60-mile route between Harrisburg and Sunbury, Pennsylvania. Hobbled by losses from the Depression, it emerged from Chapter 11 in 1938, growing into a national powerhouse with 5,000 employees and annual sales of more than $250 million by 1981.It emerged from its first bankruptcy when an investment group led by John N. Hall (no relation) purchased the firm. Through a series of acquisitions, Mr. Hall built the small intrastate carrier into one of the 30 biggest trucking companies in the nation. After running the carrier for 42 years, Mr. Hall sold it to Tiger for $45 million before deregulation in 1980 and by the mid-'80s, they were out of business.
