I like the old porteur bikes, in this painting the rack is empty, the rider has dropped off their cargo and is about to have a well earned refreshment. I use Winsor and Newton professional acrylics and glazes and the painting has a high gloss, deep lustrous surface. The edges of the canvas are painted and glazed to enable the artwork to be displayed with or without a frame. The painting is supplied with fittings for hanging and a certificate of authenticity.

The Tour de France is a legendary and prestigious annual cycling race that takes place in France. Spanning over multiple stages and covering thousands of kilometers, it attracts top cyclists from around the world and captivates millions of spectators.

My cycling buddy commissioned this painting, its his Dawes Galaxy touring bike in the background and this is his favourite refuel on a Sunday ride. A good old fashioned mug of tea with some sugar and hot tea cakes, just the job. I use Winsor and Newton professional acrylics and glazes and the painting has a high gloss, deep lustrous surface. The edges of the canvas are painted and glazed to enable the artwork to be displayed with or without a frame. The painting is supplied with fittings for hanging and a certificate of authenticity.

I always fancied having a Mercian touring bike, with red and white barber pole graphics down the seat tube. This painting depicts a good old fashioned mug of tea and hot tea cakes with a touring bike in the background. This Condor Baracchi is my current ride, its really comfortable, lightweight and fast, built by a renowned UK frame builder who has be producing bikes for over 60 years. Named after The Trofeo Baracchi a major Italian cycling race that ran for 50 years. It was created by Mino Baracchi, in memory of his father Angelo who was a great cycle racing fan. Originally (from 1941) an amateur individual time trial, from 1944 it was open to professionals and became a major event on the European calendar until 1990. The painting has two coats of protective professional varnish and is supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
