Good X-ray hands seem to be a rare find anymore. Ones that do it and do it well know it and seem to be abit messed up in the ole noggin. Maybe it's the radiation or maybe it was just in the water from their pond.

Seize that per diem. Most everyone has heard the saying Carpe Diem or "seize the day". Well to those of us road workers it is more than that.

When the coordinator walks in at 4:30 with the news that they just finished cleaning a tower for entry and have no permit ready and no man watch. The only real answer is "put wheels on that bitch and roll it to nightshift". Problem is I am usually the nightshift.....

Those who know what NDT/NDE stands for will get it of coarse. I had a fella ask me if I knew what NDT stands for when I told him to get a wire brush and prep his own welds. He didn't hand buff them......or make the end of shift.

We are one of two guys in the group, either always out the gate on time or never out the gate on time. I personally am the latter. I seem to never be able to get my ass out the gate on time an donate.
