While he isn't very well remembered today, he had about a decade long run that included print ads, TV spots, and store displays. But why is he called Saturday Cat? Well, the popular belief is that Saturday was when the milkman came around to collect payment and take orders for the coming week. Saturday Cat wears a milkman style cap, so we can only assume that he is kind of a walking, talking reminder to order up a bottle of real dairy cream, but the truth may just be lost to the sands of time.
