Dreamland - sumie ink brush zen bamboo painting by Rebecca Rees Tapestry

"Dreamland" is a sumie ink brush painting. The original is 8.5" x 11" on light weight, smooth white paper. I am inspired by the elegance and simplicity of japanese sumi-e painting. "Notice that the stiffest tree is most easily cracked, while the bamboo or willow survives by bending with the wind." -Bruce Lee. I try to set my scanner to be as close as possible to the original color of the art piece. There is a slight color variation between the digital and the scanned original art.
