Old Friends - Sumie Ladybug & Bamboo Painting Tapestry

Time passes...but not for these two ladybug friends. When they meet and talk about lots and lots of nothing, it's as if time stands still. Old friends, now and always. I dedicate this painting to my old friends. "Old Friends" is a sumi-e painting using an acrylic paint wash. It is a 'one stroke' style of painting. Sumie attempts to capture the Chi or Life Spirit of the subject with just a few strokes of the brush. 8" x 11" on heavy weight, cream colored paper.
