A POUND OF FLESH ! Tapestry

It's difficult to try and make flies look appealing, although with this image it was not that difficult to do. Instantaneously, I was drawn to the subject matter as an image... It wasn't about oooh, it's a fly..! It was about there's an image there... and it was appealing. What attracted me to the capture was the piercing red eye upon the shape of the already flowered thistle head and the russet complimentary background colour of the bracken backdrop. There was very little to do in post on this... As autumn moves slowly into winter... it is the flies that are a major body of the insect world which are responsible for the digestion and breakdown of natural matter...
