Grain Elevator, Big Springs, Nebraska Tapestry

We had been driving across the Nebraska Plains, looking at how the railways supported the agricultural communities along our route. It seemed that in every small town we drove through there were grain elevators there to hold the harvested crops, always next the a railway line. This elevator was in Big Springs, Nebraska. Of all the elevators we saw, this had to be one of the largest. What I love about this image is the combination of the yellow-orange of the elevator and the almost mauve of the sky, and the way this massive structure overlooks the perfectly straight railway tracks.
