I might still break out some watercolors, but I need some supplies before I do that, so I may return to this in a couple weeks, but for now, I'm happy with the turnout, especially considering this was my first time attempting a Heron. I wasn't trying to copy the photo(credit to myself, as I encountered this gentle giant on a painting day at Ringling by the canal and managed to snap a couple of pictures. One of the most unforgettable moments I'd ever had at Ringling and I love it.) because, as my Illustration I professor used to tell us: "You're an artist, not a camera!
