Silkwood Pillow

Oil on Canvas 61cm x 91cm SOLD The old shop at Silkwood was popular with the locals and The Sunlander Train. The Sunlander would stop at the level crossing near the shop and the passengers would throw bread ect out to the goats and ducks that lived at the shop. I remember when I lived near Silkwood, I would go into the shop to buy the papers and was always amazed at the piles of newspapers from years gone by that the old shopkeeper had stacked up everywhere. Kittens used to be running in between the piles!
