An Australian native flower found at Lawson the other day. Epacris pulchella or Wallum Heath. Epacris....from Greek, epi, upon and acris, a summit, referring to the altitude where some species occur pulchella..... From Latin pulchellus, pretty or beautiful, referring to the appearance of the plant. Found in heath and open forests on the coast and adjacent ranges of New South Wales and south-east Queensland.
