Redclyffe Yacht Club, January 2022 Redclyffe Yacht Club is situated on the River Frome, half a mile downstream from the Saxon town of Wareham (Dorset, England). The club was established by Percy Westerman, who became the club's first commodore. Born in Portsmouth in 1876, Percy and his wife lived not far from here, on a barge, on the river, where he wrote many of his adventure stories for boys, selling more than 1.5 million books by the time of his death in 1959.
