Inspired by Shaun's fool-proof list for survival in the zombie apocalypse in Shaun of the Dead.

1981's Evil Dead is an American supernatural horror film centered around five friends who travel to a cabin in the woods, where they unknowingly release flesh-possessing demons by way of the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, an ancient Sumerian text which wreaks havoc upon them all.

This Day of the Dead inspired design features a beautiful woman with sugar skull patterns on her face. Three roses appear in her jet black hair with two more roses tattooed on her arm.

The year was 1878. Pittsburgh residents investigated reports of “dead people” feasting on the flesh of the living. A hastily assembled posse arrived at the Romero homestead to find that six “zombies” had made breakfast of the dead bodies of the poor farmer and his wife. The zombies were disposed of with a combination of axes, shovels and pitchforks and the incident passed out of memory. Coincidentally, one hundred years later, Pittsburgh became the home of the greatest zombie films ever made.

I’m a big fan of minimal designs, especially minimal film posters, so I decided to make a few of my own using one of my favourite film trilogies (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End) as inspiration

This unique design by artist Jeff Bartels features a Day of the Dead inspired sugar skull. The flag of Mexico appears on the skull giving it a Patriotic feel. Four tribal roses appear on the skull’s forehead with nautical stars covering the eyes. This beautiful Day of the Dead design is a stylish way to show off your Mexican patriotism.

The Day of the Dead or 'Dia de los Muertos' in Spanish, is a holiday that is celebrated in Southern and Central Mexico on November 1st and 2nd. This is a celebration that honors the souls and lives of the departed souls of loved ones. There are many items associated with this celebration and one is the sugar skull.
