How these colossal figures were built is a mystery that is gradually being solved, but in the same way the spectacularity of the imposing statues of the men of Easter is incredible. Imagine how the process of carving stone and transport should have been, as an event of the community, a bit of each of the members, all contributing their effort and enthusiasm. Fortunately, it has been recorded on the rock and is transmitted only by looking at them. Each of them is a precise moment of life, each of them collects and shows the greatness of teamwork. It is not the only example, all the constructions are the result of that coordination, but it seems that being in such a remote place, it is like a convincing proof that the human being must work...

Easter Island, a Chilean territory, is a remote volcanic island in Polynesia. Its native name is Rapa Nui. It’s famed for archaeological sites, including nearly 900 monumental statues called moai, created by inhabitants during the 13th–16th centuries. The moai are carved human figures with oversize heads, often resting on massive stone pedestals called ahus. Ahu Tongariki has the largest group of upright moai.
