Lunatic Pillows

High Royds Hospital is a former psychiatric hospital south of the village of Menston, West Yorkshire, England. The hospital is located within in the City of Leeds metropolitan borough and was first opened on 8 October 1888 as the West Riding Pauper Lunatic Asylum. The hospital closed in 2003 and the site has since been developed for residential use, some of which is in the old hospital buildings.

I chanced upon this old gent at a bus stop in East Sydney. He was gleaming in the brightness of a Summers morning. Wanting to take a candid shot, I spied his reflection in a window behind me. As luck would have it he yawned at that exact moment and it is this photo I used as inspiration for a large oil painting.

Voice to Parliament - Vote Yes The voice would advise the Australian parliament and government on matters relating to the social, spiritual and economic wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It would be a permanent body representing First Nations people that would advise government about policies affecting Indigenous people. Pleasure and pain, beauty and ugliness are all part of the duality known as Samsara. This design is based on an original oil painting by me, of this very beautiful black stallion. I had a cosmic connection with him whilst at the Royal Easter Show Sydney.

Classic 80s soap drama/90s comedy retro mash-up

This design is based on an old photo from my grandmothers dementia memory suitcase. It is a treasure trove of faded memories.

I sketched this bird in Chinatown Sydney Australia. The store owner was most fascinated at my interest in his dead birds....so interested he chased me away with a meat cleaver!

This shirt is a funky, psychedelic, 60's inspired, picture and word puzzle. When solved it reads as "I study engineering". If you or somebody you love is into engineering, then this is a shirt they must own.
