A NYC doorway covered in graffiti that I laboriously reworked via digital repixelation. This is but one of several variations of the original image. The original image as I found it was found pasted and added to and covered many times over on a NYC wall. I saw its potential and grabbed a shot of it. Bringing it into Photoshop, I was able to fully transform it into something more to my liking by digitally editing it in many different ways which is how I approach most of my work. I find something that catches my eye, photograph it and then digitally transform it into something very different that I can then call my own. This old fashioned lantern well is located underground at battery Mishler, Fort stevens, Oregon and would have been used before and possibly during World War 1. digitally manipulated to have a glowing golden lignt and to enhance the concrete texture on the wall.
