Three tasty bottles of red wine, one glass and two giant red porcelain cherries.

I did this a few weeks ago in Gwen's watercolour class. One of the students brought in some wooden African figurines for us to paint. This is done in watercolour on Arches 300gsm cold pressed paper, 1/4 sheet I used mainly French Ultramarine and Burnt Sienna to convey the black figurines. Also added some titanium white for the highlights and some of the white lines.

These vintage flower seed packets from Mandeville & King in Rochester, NY are works of art. When I saw these beautiful botanical bouquets I knew they would make a wonderful still life.

Originally this was a collage I did for an art course a long time ago. Then I adapted it into a watercolour lesson for my watercolour students. The exercise was to try to mix the colours to match the collage. Recently rediscovered , I've decided that it might look good in a frame. Watercolour on Arches paper 300 gsm. 23 cm x 17 cm

A2 Acrylic on Canvas I've had this still life painting on my to do list since around 2018, when I first took the reference photo. It was originally planned to be part of a larger set of paintings depicting different drinks served in their appropriate glassware alongside a bottle and within a fitting setting. Now four years later, I finally have this piece finished making it the third in this series of still lifes.

I love wandering in Ohio nature and gathering finds to photograph on my vintage table.

A spiral staircase winds upwards. Located in the Governor's house of the Waterloo County Gaol, located in Kitchener, Ontario, a retired prison and historic site. Constructed in 1852, it is the oldest government building still-standing in the city. The Governor's House, home of the "gaoler", in a mid-Victorian Italian Villa style, was added in 1878. Recently restored and now used as office space.

I painted this for my wife who loves wine, well we both do, we needed a narrow painting for a pillar in the Kitchen and this is what I came up with, hope you like it and will buy a print. It was painted in oils on a 23 by 12 inch canvas.

I Love Strawberries

Glass Bottles 2A is a mixed media painting I did a while back at a workshop where we were restricted as to colour that could be used. Because I pefer bright colours I always wished I had been able to use slightly brighter colours when I painted it. Therefore I have now ever so slightly digitally colour enriched my image to give it the brighter and warmer tones I always wanted it to have and which I prefer. It is meant to be a happy and celebratory not so "still" life of glass bottles - meant to have a party feel to it. I hope you like it too. Cheers.
