Charles (CM) Russell, the “cowboy artist”, created more than 2,000 paintings of cowboys, Indians, and landscapes set in the Western United States. He lived and worked among the cowboys and the Blood Indian tribe in his younger years. This image is called “When Sioux and Blackfeet Meet” and depicts a battle between warring Indian tribes.
