My favorite scene in Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens is the creepy shadow on the wall as Count Orlok ascends the staircase toward his final victim; it is one of the most iconic images in film and perfectly captures the ambiance of classic horror. In tribute to the simplicity of this still, I kept the artwork as minimal as possible. To contrast the near-black brushwork of the silhouette, I created a graphic background with my signature gradient banding in purple. Then I fit everything into an oval with a grainy vignette to sort of fuse vintage and modern into one look and tie it all together.

Shadow of Nosferatu (Monochrome)
I love the scene in Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens after Count Orlok bites Ellen Hutter's "lovely neck." As Orlok slowly looks up, with his twisted claw wrapped around the head of his victim, he stares directly into the camera for a beat, which makes for one of the creepiest scenes ever. As I often do, I captured my own still of this scene for reference and tried to pay tribute to the moment by painting in a dark, minimal 2-tone feel inspired by the grim but stark look of the movie. To contrast the near-black brushwork, I created a graphic background with my signature gradient banding in purple. Then I fit everything into an oval with a grainy vignette to sort of fuse vintage and modern into one look and tie it all together.

Here we have the cover art for The Golden Girls' hit single "Miami (You've Got Style)" from the classic episode in which Rose and Dorothy write a song together for a contest; it's such a great episode (and actually not a bad song)! The B-side, of course, of this made-up scenario is their iconic cover of Mr. Sandman. I've been creating single and album cover art for actual artists many years, but in 2019 I came up with the concept of doing cover artwork for pop culture icons that weren't actually musical groups, the first being my Ghostbusters: We Came, We Saw fake LP cover. And now I'm kind of addicted.

Lady Godiva was a freedom rider, She didn't care if the whole world looked, Joan of Arc with the Lord to guide her, She was a sister who really cooked, Isadora was the first bra-burner, Ain't ya glad she showed up? Here we have the multi-colored version of "Disco Balls," my first of likely many unrelated-to-pop-culture Mod Pop Art pieces in this kinda' weird mosaic square style I've developed that I really dig. Certainly I have seen art created with colored squares, but what I haven't seen is shapes and silhouettes added into the mix, which is the element that I feel sets my stuff apart and ensures you are getting something unique.

It's the ultimate Bill Murray mashup! In a Twilight Zone-like twist, the worlds of Harold Ramis and Wes Anderson collide, as Bill cannot escape being trapped in the endless loop of Groundhog Day ... even when playing a character FROM A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MOVIE (specifically, Steve Zissou from 'The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou').
