The design elements consist of torn paper images as encountering on the street walls and brush painting elements and Raskolnikov's quote which is "only to live to live and live!. Life whatever it may be!"

The American Gothic is a legendary painting of painter Grant Wood, whose work depicts the creepy rural life of the American Midwest. Gothic art and literature, which originated in medieval Europe, is characterized by a focus on darker themes such as death, decay, and the supernatural. Nowadays, we encounter many dark themed news. The newspaper's gothic character and redrawing of Grant Wood gothic painting are indicated the dark side of modern age. My design combined reproduced variation of the painting with a hand-drawn The New York Times newspaper image which is the symbolic indicator of urban life, to be blended another gothic indicator of urban. Furthermore, The Angel Of Odd is a blended text on design to which belongs, Edgar Allan Poe.
