How is Dopamine related to Parkinsons Disease?
Scientists believe a lack of dopamine causes Parkinson's disease. That deficit, they say, comes from a disorder of nerve cells in the part of the brain that produces the chemical.
Dopamine is a type of neurotransmitter. Your body makes it, and your nervous system uses it to send messages between nerve cells.
This design was meant to address the uncomfortable tremors people see.
Lots of times, when someone sees the tremors associated with Parkinson Disease, I'm asked if I'm alright. Assuming I am nervous. I'm in the early stages of the disease.
