According to the latest report of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the Kordofan and Nubian subspecies of giraffe are now "critically endangered," while the reticulated giraffe was listed as "endangered."
Mountain Gorillas (Gorilla beringei beringei) are critically endangered still with an estimated population of around 880 individuals left in the wild.

The goblin shark differs from other shark species by having a flattened snout that protrudes from the top of its head. Its jaw is protruding, and the inside contains 35 to 53 rows of upper teeth and 31 to 62 rows of lower teeth!
Sightings of goblin sharks are very rare and indicate that the species lives in waters on continental platforms and slopes, at depths of 1,300-1,370 meters.
