African Servals are slender cats with long legs, and ears that are the largest of any cats, proportional to their heads. Besides birds they are known to eat rodents, frogs, fish, reptiles, and even large insects. They often use their large ears to pick up sounds of their prey. While Serval populations are declining, they are not yet considered endangered. This is with the exception of One subspecies (the North african Serval). Servals are threatened by Habitat loss, Climate change, and sport hunting.

Moon bears are sadly victims of Bear Bile Farming. This is an unethical practice, requiring bears to be kept for their lifetime in cages too small for them to turn around in even. The procedure to harvest their Bile is incredibly invasive, and often leads to massive infection. It’s thought that approximately 10,000 Moon bears are kept in these facilities in China, and additional 1200 in Vietnam.

Unfortunately the African Lion population has decreased 90% in the last 5 decades, having gone extinct in 26 countries only to be found in 8% of their original range. Their main threats include Human-Lion conflicts (often over Predatory behavior on Live-stock. This is due to close proximity, as well as depletion of their natural prey)

The IUCN lists the polar bear as a vulnerable species, citing sea-ice loss from climate change as the single largest threat to polar bear survival. Polar bears rely on sea ice to hunt, travel, breed, and sometimes to den. Without drastic change, by 2050, two-thirds of the polar bear population will be lost.
