Inspired by the breathtaking Great Bear Rainforest, this illustration shows the iconic spirit bear fishing for Pacific salmon in a stream.

This is a digital painting I created of a black bear mama with two white cubs. Spirit bears, also known as Kermode bears, are rare black bears with a white recessive gene. Indigenous only to small parts of British Columbia, Canada, they are special to see.
