Terra Australis Incognita: Monstrum marinum This is my third entry for Create Art History Challenge, with theme Weird and Wonderful Creatures. It is a detail from first entry with slightly changed background. I choose only one mythical sea monster for this drawing. It is Kraken - legendary, giant sea monster octopus. I’ve also changed color of the map, and for home decoration, apparel, stationery and device cases I chose inverted colorful version. At the background is again map of the Australia and the city of Melbourne where State Library Victoria is located.
