He had an extremely cocky personality and was known for his big ego, as was his R.I.O., Slider. Goose - Lieutenant (Junior Grade) Nick Bradshaw (callsign: Goose) was a Naval Flight Officer and Maverick's radar intercept officer (RIO). Wolfman - Lieutenant (Junior Grade) Leonard Wolfe (callsign: Wolfman) is a Naval Flight Officer and graduate of TOPGUN. Wolfman is Hollywood's radar intercept officer (RIO). When Maverick leaves TOPGUN after falling into depression over the death of Goose, Wolfman informs Charlie that Maverick quit the program. If Wolfman had not done this, it is possible that Maverick would have left for good. Hollywood and Wolfman's F-14 was shot down in the final engagement with the six MiG-28s. They were both rescued and were last seen disembarking from the rescue helicopter after Iceman and Maverick's F-14s had returned to the USS Enterprise.
