These two ladies remind me of ladies from the 20's. This is watercolor on Arches cold press paper. 26 cm x 36 cm

I drew the Painted Ladies in a summer afternoon in San Francisco. They gave me their colorful vibe, and I retrieved them with this watercolor sketch that I hope you enjoy in your day-to-day.

I’ve always enjoyed doodling, and I suppose this painting started as a doodle, but on a larger scale. My favourite thing is to play with watercolour, and practice the many wonderful , fun techniques, and creating a design which works as a painting as well as on my Redbubble products.

Across from Alamo Square on Steiner Street, San Francisco is a row of Victorian houses dubbed “Postcard Row”. The San Francisco skyline is a wonderful background for these painted ladies. Painted Ladies are homes that are painted in three or more colors. These homes appear in the opening credits of the TV show “Full House”.
