Plum Tree Blossom Crewneck Sweatshirts

A commission I did my patron friend was okay with selling. I did this in pastel.

Blossom on a branch of a plum tree (variety Jubilee) under a clear blue sky in spring sunshine, giving the promise of fruit in the autumn. I bought this 'tree' as a stick some four years ago and hope to get my first fruit this year!!!

Ikebana flower plum branch ukiiyo-e art by Kitagawa Utamaro. Kanji writing is a phrase from Chinese poem, 梅花帯雪飛琴上。It means "The plum blossoms are dancing like snow above the koto (instrument). Great idea for anybody who enjoy Ikebana art and Japanese cluture.
