Florida is known for weird.  In addition beautiful scenery and weather, we've also got 1,000 critters that will frighten or maim you, and a fair number of cryptids to boot. Aside from Florida Man, two of the most common here are skunk apes and aliens. The outskirts of the Everglades is home to the southernmost Bigfoot in the US - the Skunk Ape. On the other end of the state, Gulf Breeze Florida has become a mecca for UFO sightings - even having a local, "pet" UFO named Bubba.
