There are many quaint shops along Washington Street in Hoboken New Jersey. This colorful dress shop has a rack on the sidewalk of beautiful scarfs for sale to attract people into their shop.

New Hope, Pennsylvania is a charming, historic town full of shops, restaurants and craft galleries.

I always enjoy walking around Hoboken New Jersey because of all the interesting architecture. Here I was doubly lucky because of the interesting cornice over the doorway and window and the pretty windowbox plus the reflection of the interesting buildings across the street.

I always find interesting architecture whenever I am in Hoboken NJ. On a recent visit, my eye was caught by the bright color and elegant appearance of the red awnings on a brownstone down the street.

In the one room schoolhouse, there was no such thing as a cafeteria. Students brought there own lunch to school in various containers such as pails or baskets. The cloth across the basket was often used as a tablecloth.

Dark morning clouds open up to form a window, so angles can look down from heaven and the ones they love and miss. At least that's what it looks like to me!!

The first checkered cab started in 1922. It was a favorite of taxicab companies because of its durability in heavy use and their special features such as large rear seats and trunks. Because of competition with larger manufacturers, the last checkered cab was produced in 1982.
