Camp Toombs was a basic training camp for United States Army paratroopers during World War II, located five miles (eight kilometers) west of Toccoa, Georgia. Among the units to train at the camp was the 506th Infantry Regiment. The regiment's Company E ("Easy Company") were portrayed in the 2001 HBO miniseries Band of Brothers. Notable units that underwent training at Camp Toccoa were: 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment: attached to the 101st Airborne Division 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment: attached to the 101st Airborne Division 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment: attached to the 82nd Airborne Division and the 17th Airborne Division 511th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 517th Parachute Infantry Regiment

One of my Favorite Waterfalls in Georgia. Located on the campus of Toccoa Falls College. It is an easy walk up a path after visiting the school bookstore.

As I walked up to Toccoa Falls I saw this older Couple sitting on the bench enjoying the falls. The stories about this couple are endless. Is this their favorite waterfall? Did they have a first date here and they are returning to remember that day? Maybe they come here because it is easier to walk to than many other falls. Whatever the story may be I just love how they sit close together and are enjoying this moment in time. Love.
