Marabou Stork Just Landing Hoodie
Marabou Stork Hoodie
designed and sold by Carole-Anne
Marabou Stork, Leptoptilos crumeniferus, known as the undertaker bird. The Marabou stork is 4 to 5 feet, 1.15 to 1.5 m high. The wing span is close to 9 feet, 3 m. The marabou storks head is nearly bald and scab encrusted. This makes it cleaner for the marabou stork to eat carrion without getting its feathers blood soaked. A pendulous flesh colored gular sac hangs below the throat when inflated and indicates sexual maturity. Photographed at Lake Nakuru National Park, Kenya, East Africa.Canon 500D, Tamron zoom lens (Featured in The World as we See it, or as we Missed it, and other groups.)
