Amaryllis's sis. This one is blue, but there are white ones too. Neither a lily nor from the Nile, native to Southern Africa and naturalized around the world.

This is a stylized, simple yet sweet rendition of one of my favourite flowers in my garden, the agapanthus.

I applied two different textures to this agapanthus flower, which I captured from underneath to get this star-like effect.

These beautiful flowers are so surreal looking to me, magical- like fairy chandeliers that are upside down. So I gave these Agapanthus flowers a surreal color grading to match the way I see them.

I'm still trying to get a feel for agapanthus for the Solo Exhibition masterpiece workshop. This was started with a watercolour wash, then gesso was added in one flower shape before I painted a second flower and washed over the gesso with more watercolour. I'm enjoying the effect. Watercolour and gesso on 300lb Fabriano Artistico watercolour paper, the original measures approx. 14" x 10"

These flowers always amaze me. They are like balls made up of tiny flowers on stems. Camera used: Nikon D3500, f/6, 1/2000 sec, ISO-1800.
