Holy Trinity church in the West Sussex village of Bosham which sits near the quay. It is steeped in history, the first church being founded in c.850 on the site of a Roman basilica. It was replaced in the 10th century by Holy Trinity. Significantly it is mentioned in the Bayeaux Tapestry which shows Harold Godwinson and his followers riding to the church. Even earlier, King Canute had a palace in Bosham and his daughter is reputed to be buried under the nave.
