Crystal Bay Hoodies

I was standing in the crystal clear waters by the Moonta Bay jetty when I captured the reference photo for this painting. The rustic wood contrasts with the clean seawater. Moonta Bay jetty is on the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. The Yorke Peninsula offers some of the best fishing in Australia.

The crystal clear blue and turquoise water of Anchor Bay in the north of Malta and a glimpse of Popeye Village which was the site of a 1980's musical film and is now a theme park village. A Maltese Luzzu fishing boat can be seen on the clear water

Here's another view of a calm Crystal Bay on Lake Tahoe in Nevada. Taken in May, 2014, on a warm Spring day. Four days later a huge storm passed through and plunged this placid lake and its surroundings back into Winter. Both scenes make for great photographs.
