A monster with a carapace like tempered steel armor. The vapor around it is actually the expelling of trapped gases from the hordes of monsters Magnamalo has consumed. This has earned it the moniker "Wyvern of Malice." Its shrouded swings can inflict hellfireblight, which causes one to combust either spontaneously or when hit. Use a Deodorant or a Wirebug to rid yourself of hellfire.

Monster Hunter Rise Magnamalo Kanji Icon

Magnamalo is a hulking Fanged Wyvern that bears some resemblance to a tiger. It is primarily clad in purple and yellow plates of armor, with a red underbelly. The head has a short, tigrine snout, holds two foldable tusks under its cheeks, and sports a large pair of jagged yellow horns, just underneath which are its long, thin ears. Both the forelegs and hindlegs end in four-clawed digits, and each foreleg is armed with a single large serrated blade, which is kept folded back, parallel with the leg. Magnamalo's tail ends in a spear-like tip composed of three spikes that can flex outwards to form a trident shape. Scorned Magnamalo is a Fanged Wyvern and Variant of Magnamalo first introduced in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Scorned Magnamalo's main visual differences from a standard Magnamalo are its elongated, oddly jagged arm-blades and fangs, its larger and more jagged shells on the shoulder, its tail being in expanded state at all times, and is missing the right eye and horn. Its body is now a dark purple with red scars all over its body, similar to the appearance of the Apex Monsters found in Kamura. Its body is shrouded in Hellfire at all times.
