The Messerschmitt Bf 109, often called Me 109, was a German World War II fighter aircraft.

Messerschmitt AG was a German share-ownership limited, aircraft manufacturing corporation named after its chief designer Willy Messerschmitt from mid-July 1938 onwards, and known primarily for its World War II fighter aircraft, in particular the Bf 109 and Me 262. This Messerschmitt Me 109 G-4 showed up at the 16th oldtimer meeting in 2011 at the Hahnweide, near Kirchheim / Teck, Germany. The Hahnweide is actually a glider airfield with a grass runway - which fits very good to this plane. Canon EOS 60D in Sports mode, 1/500 s, f9, 154 mm, ISO 100.
