This is Point Perpendicular lookout at Currarong on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia photographed with a Canon 400D. I thought the odd shaped rock on the ledge was interesting. This is a fairly short walk on the track from the car park near the beach at Currarong with some spectacular coastal scenery. *Features* Your Country's Best, Apr 2013. Point Lookout Lighthouse is located in St. Mary's County Maryland. It is where the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River meet. This view can be seen out in the Chesapeake Bay or by walking behind the Lighthouse. Available on select products only

Armed with a sketchbook and pens, I recently challenged myself to complete the 3000km Tour Aotearoa, sketching all 30 of the official photo checkpoints. I drew in rain, wind and bbq-hot temperatures, always aware that I had to keep riding on before it got dark! I'm super happy with the results and hope you enjoy them too. Standing on the Point Buchon Trail, which is south of Montana de Oro State Park on the coast of central California, I observed this flock of pelicans flying low over a point called Disney Lookout, or Fat Point. Looking closely, one can count 19 birds in the photo, making it appear as though they're racing. Point Buchon Trail is on PG&E property, so a reservation is necessary to hike there. Shot with a Pentax 645Z, 45mm, f11.

One of my favourite spots: Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island. Had I not been with a group of photographers -- and had my ND400 filter not gotten stuck on shortly after I took this -- I could have stayed at this spot all day, watching the waves and the occasional person that tried to brave them.

Lāʻie Point is a beautiful lookout on the windward coast of Oahu. On the left hand side is an offshore sea arch which is a seabird sanctuary. My print shows the right hand side, looking into the direction of Kaneohe Bay. There is a legend of Lāʻie Point in which this land was called Laniloa and it was once a "Mo'o", a giant Lizard.

Unfortunately, after enjoying the blue skies over North Stradbroke Island in the early afternoon, the clouds descended and stayed there. We were lucky enough that it didn't rain on us, but it did force us to recompose the shots we'd planned to take under the full moon!
