The single child - One of my hens and her single chick. She tried to hatch out 10 eggs in a shed but over the weeks the magpies kept stealing eggs when she took breaks from hatching and got up to drink and eat something. In the end she only hatched out this one little chick but she's taking great care of it. The hen hatched in the goat shed and seems convinced that she is a goat herself. She hangs out with them in their shed and yard, follows them out into the field... I tried integrating her into a flock but she keeps moving back in the with the goats after a short while. I guess now I have two species-confused personalities dashing around my yard! Canon EOS 60D DSLR
