I love being underwater

This is an abstract mosaic, suggesting undersea motion, made with cut pieces of my original alcohol ink painting and metallic chips.

Drawn with blue edding pen in 1998, spent the next decade on a wall until rescued and digitally coloured 2011. I just let the pen do the walking and talking...I remember being completely immersed in this for several hours, hope you are too!

The "Not so Little" Mermaid!

My take on the original tale written by Hans Christian Andersen, The Little Mermaid.

Drawn in workbook when at Telford College in 2008 as I attempted to create a portfolio of drawings from the imagination. Rediscovered out in my garage in portfolio case yesterday [apr 2011] and digitally coloured in elements.

Undersea life is still being a Mystery, so this design is descript about it

Ernst Haeckel, 1834 - 1919. This German Biologist created these symmetrical and organized art forms from illustrations of aquatic creatures and featured them in his publication, 'Art Forms Of Nature' in 1899.

This sea creature is the bioluminescent Pinecone Fish (aka Pineapple Fish or Knight Fish)!
