The last flying Avro Vulcan B2 XH588 (or Hawker Siddeley Vulcan) flies into the setting sun and sunset. This was a delta wing subsonic jet strategic bomber operated by the Royal Air Force 1953 to 1984, popular at airshows.

Taken on one of its last flights in 2015 before being permanently grounded, Avro Vulcan XH558 'The Spirit of Great Britain' with its unique delta wing was the last flying example of this iconic Cold War V Bomber. It was designed to carry nuclear weapons but saw action in the Falklands War with conventional armament.

The Avro Vulcan, along with the Victor and Valiant was one of three Cold War 'V' Bombers designed to carry nuclear warheads. XH558 has been the last flying example of this iconic design, Taken here returning to Robin Hood airport prior to one of the Avro Vulcan's final flights before being permanently grounded.

Vulcan B Mk2 XH558 first flew on 1 July 1960 and was the first B Mk2 to be delivered to the RAF. She was also the last Vulcan to leave RAF Service on 23 March 1993. This is a shot from 2015. Sadly XH558 is no longer flying
