The Erechtheionn within the Acropolis complex in Athens is really something to see. It's been decades since you could approach this structure, but no such problem when I was there in 1972; I have a separate picture of me sitting on the stones beneath caryatids, Of course, this is a much more recent image, but today's regimen does mean that there are no pesky tourists in the way when you want to capture a picture of this ancient piece of Greek architecture. We had climbed up to the Acropolis early to get ahead of the crowds, a privilege we enjoyed for just a short while. From Greek mythology comes this couple in love. He is a Greek god and he is wearing a yellow robe over his beautiful body. She like a vestal python is holding flowers and two caryatids watch them. A love scene that transcends time and epochs.
