Cattle graze in the Monsal Dale with the Headstone Viaduct as a backdrop. The Viaduct was built by the Midland railway crossing the River Wye. It was built in 1863 and at the time was heavily criticised by many, including John Ruskin, Britain's leading cultural critic at the time.
