Christ Pantocrator is one of the most significant of Eastern iconography, and also the most widespread, to the point of becoming almost the only type of Christ found not only in the domes and apses of churches, but also on seals, coins, ivories, evangelicals and other liturgical objects; it is found in the historical scenes that represent Christ in the different moments of his adult life, in the different miracles that mark his mission in Palestine at the time; it is found above all in countless icons offered for veneration by the faithful in the iconostasis of churches and in private homes.
