I painted the original piece of Zatanna by washing ink

This subjective design depicts a number of elements; characters, setting, emotion etc. and this is because I wanted the viewer to come up with their own story. ​​I was exploring the idea of Art Deco with a Gothic theme and have given it my own twist of comic inking. I was also exploring the worlds of surrealism and fantasy too. I wanted to create something modern with a hint of vintage/retro styling to make it more interesting, I think it works really well together. ​​I've also made a speed painting of this design so feel free to check it out.
