Come and explore the beautiful village of Fiskebäckskil on Sweden’s west coast. Down on the waterline there are small boathouses whose openings face the sea, while further up the hillside there are grander houses with glass verandas and splendid balconies with gingerbread woodwork. This fishing port was founded in the 16th century, based on the lucrative herring trade, and later developed into one of Sweden's finest marine towns. A favourite view of an iconic picturesque village on the Yorkshire Coast. Staithes was once one of the largest fishing ports on the North East Coast with around 80 full time fishing boats operating but is now a popular tourist spot
