This drawing was part of my series of 100 animal drawings, used for the Terra Oracle Deck. All 100 animals were drawing with a black felt pen on smooth finish white paper to keep perfect line quality. These drawings that I like to call them "Limp Faces" are a series of sketches that I made while practicing a new style of drawing faces. With practice I started adding some text in the background while some are more simple or have an abstract background. Most of them were improvised and I like to think of them as some of sort of self-expression. These are some of my favourite drawings I ever did so I hope you enjoy!

Originally an ink drawing, this is one of many Amabie's drawn during our pandemic. Amabie first appeared in Japanese in the 1800's. At the time Amabie said “If an epidemic occurs, draw a picture of me and show it to everyone.” A tee shirt seems the perfect vehicle for this! Amabie is described as a mermaid-like creature with long hair, a beak and 3 legs. Amabie is categorized as a yokai in the Japanese mythical tradition. This is my interpretation of Amabie, she looks good with a plague doctor's mask!
